Congratulations! Dr. -Ing. Christian Dolle
The PhD defence of Mr. Christian Dolle took place on 19. Dec. 2018. With his impressive work on “Low-voltage and in situ Electron Microscopy of Graphene and its Defects”, he has been awarded the title Dr.-Ing.
His thesis work has been focused on the study of defects (line defects and single-molecule-functioned defect sites) in the ultimate thin material, graphene. With great patience, endurance and persistence he has achieved many challenging and sophisticated in situ electron microscopy experiments, which result in high quality research outputs. These include his contributions to the milestone work to visualize and understand dislocation in bilayer graphene (news article here), and recent work on manipulating these defects in graphene (news article here).
